Update 24/4/12 Start of Term 2 (2 terms to go!)

Alright need to reflect over what I've done over the holidays and compare it to what i wanted to do.
4U Maths:
- did a little bit of curve sketching but I still suck.
- Did a little bit of volumes in the first week but havent touched it since
- only integration I did was occasionally helping Dana
- didn't revise poly, complex or conics :(
Result: FAIL

Chemistry:
- forgot to touch the tutorials :P shiet
- didn't do no pracs. But recently just skimmed over VH's tasks
- started monitoring and did some notes
- couple of trial papers here and there but nothing enough to constitute as work
Result: FAIL

Physics:
- forgot to touch tutorials for phys as well T_T
- no pracs for this either. Skimmed over VH's tasks...
- did heaps of notes for motors in the first week but since then, nothing. And still very dodgy on the last couple dot points
- no trial papers.
Result: EPIC FAIL

English:
- did not watch Blade Runner. Have it on computer and everything but haven't been bothered
- have not written essays, but have good resource material. Obtained a couple full mark essays. Just need to construct my own essay
- related for Julius Caesar recommended by Libby - Hawke (TV movie). Hope none of my 2 followers steal my related :(. Trust you guys
Result: FAIL

Overall, got owned these holidays. Did NOTHING, apart from gain a lil weight and muscle from gyming. And after gyming got too cbf to study at lib. Need motivation for school, entered cbf mode and can't get out.

One more test results to get back this week (Phys). Really hope I did well in this although it was probably my dodgiest test besides English...

Holis:
4Umaths:
- get curve sketching DOWN (so hard :'( )
- get volumes DOWN
- get integration skillz back
- keep revising conics, poly and complex (but probs wont have time for that)

Chemistry:
- finish off the tutorials from peak
- go over all pracs and get stuff like validity and accuracy down
- start monitoring
- trial papers

Phys:
- same as chem but start Ideas
- revise Motors (dont have last 2 dot points down)

English:
- watch Blade Runner
- Write 2 essays about FrankenRunner and send to Libby
- keep writing these essays out and memorising
- find related for Julius Caesar
- i have all the resources, form an essay from it

and for the results of the second assessment task:
English Viva:
12/15. Could have done better but underprepared (can you believe it) even after the advantage dana's sneaky gave us. Even when improvising I realise i could have said so much more

Physics:
??/70. Hope it's above 55 i guess since i f'd up the graph question and the "does the kid hit the wall" q. And my long response questions were terrible. Forgot to put a con for 'discuss' T_T
EDIT: got it back - 61/70/ exact same as chemistry. Pretty happy with it, top 2-3 mark in the grade? But unfortunately my presentation will drag my rank down heaps. Got owned in multiple choice 16/20...

Chemistry:
61/70. I thought it was good until I found out other pplz scores - Henry 68?/70, some yr 11 kids 64/70 and others getting 61+/70. It would be a decent mark besides the fact that i needed to stand out in this one after my poor presentation. Maybs I topped my class but our class is shit... Need to rip the pracs

4U Maths:
78/78. Got this mark first and was happy since I thought I lost 4 marks on one question. Moral of story: if you think there is even a slight 1% possibility that your answer might be correct, don't cross it out. After I got this mark, I was happy but knew that it would go downhill from there :( But at least I'm doing good in something. Goes to show I didn't fluke my first 100%. Just don't lose to Ben by 3 marks and I'll keep my rank 1 ^_^

Term 2: COME AT ME. Second last term of schooling, try to enjoy this shit
EDIT: got all my results back. Pretty happy with all my results. Gonna smash english this term though. If only these assessments were worth more... Phys/Chem 15%, Eng 15%, Maths 35%.

- keep doing UMAT drills, from f2f as well

First time on this blog for a while. Might as well update it as this vietnamese PEASANT is making fun of me. 

In the next few weeks I have to do:

ENGLISH

- make Orwell table

- practice essay on Orwell

- write up responses to viva questions (ty pat u sneaky villager)

- memorise these responses

goal for assessment 2: 13+/15

PHYSICS

- past papers x 10 for assessment

- learn the weird shit of the syllabus (e.g. how to derive formulae because this dickhead Dr is writing it)

- learn and revise the rest of motors

goal for assessment 2: 85% +

CHEMISTRY

- past papers x 10

- go over the hard stuff of syllabus

- finish battery hand-in and memorise a 7 mark response

goal for assessment 2: 90%+

4U MATHS

- terry lee conics, polynomials and some complex. poly ex 3.4 fuarrr

- cambridge further questions/diagnostic tests etc. and finish all exercises

- go through at least 10 past papers (srs) 

goal for assessment 2: 96% + and rank 1 maintained

Time allocation for every day

Monday - get home 530. fuck around till around 630. 

- 6:30 --> get started on work. finish homework for 30mins

- 7:00 --> 1hr maths revision/exercises/past papers

- 8:00 --> probs dinner for 15min and fuck around for another 15min

- 8:30 --> physics and chemistry past papers, revision, peak homework etc.

- 9:30 --> English homework. Orwell. Get this motherfucker down.

- 10:15 --> some UMAT

repeat. cbf doing the rest of the days. takes too long. have to adjust for other days tho. tues get home at 9, wed/thurs might gym etc. go pats house.

wow ok so i got my 1st assessment results back. fcken got destroyed.
4u - you know what i got
Eng Adv - 11/15 + 11/15 = 22/30 (about rank 62 i think). Did so shit but rank is decent. need to improve
Chemistry - 38/52. This is disappointing. Gonna rip the written exam and pracs. far out. (rank a little above avg)
Physics - 32.1/40. Biggest disappointment of them all. Esp. when i know that somebody I want to beat topped it.

De-activated FB and gonna become an Edward who works out.

Results for first assessment task/HSC results

Results:
ENGLISH - /30 (prediction: 23/30)
4U MATHS - 45/45 (yeeeeee)
CHEMISTRY - /30 (prediction: 24/30)
PHYSICS - /30? (prediction: 24/30)

HSC 2011:
3u Maths - 48/50 E4 (assessment: 48/50, exam: 48/50)
2u Maths (doesn't count to anything) - 95 Band 6 (assessment: 95/100, exam: 95/100)

So basically, satisfied with 3u mark, dont care about 2u (didnt put any effort), happy with 4u :)
Gonna get raped for the rest

holidays

Damn man been doing jackall for the past week and its yr 12. And i just got like 20 movies off dana that i want to watch. Better start studying though.
Goals for holidays:
4U MATHS:
- go over conics, integration, complex
- learn some polynomials and curve sketching
- no past papers as of yet
ENGLISH:
- read Orwell's Essays and Frankenstein
- write up a mod B essay and memorise
- send to Libby with revised creative writing
CHEMISTRY:
- keep doing past papers on production of materials
- revise all content
- revise pracs (and finish off the fermentation report)
- have a look at acidic?
PHYSICS:
- finish projectile prac report
- revise space topic, do dot point QUESTIONS
- write up dot points if bothered
- past papers!!!
- have a look at motors
UMAT:
- keep doing those stupid Eureka questions
- maybe some drills as well
